Thanksgiving at Dell Children's Hospital (Austin, TX; 2016)
During his 19 months of treatment our son, Phoenix, was in the hospital for many holidays and special occasions including: his second birthday, Easter, Thanksgiving, and 4th of July. While Phoenix always had a positive outlook and we made very special memories on these days, it was still tough being in the hospital during special occasions. Our 'Holidays at the Hospital' program hopes to help families have a memorable holiday or birthday at the hospital. Please contact us as far in advance as you know you or a loved one will have to spend their holiday at Dell Children's Hospital, and we will do our best to make it a special day. Just a few of the many ways we can help include:
Decorating a hospital room for Christmas, or other seasonal holiday
Filling the hospital room with balloons for a child's birthday
Or maybe you want us to bring cupcakes and balloons for the 4th of July
