The feeling of being at the hospital on the weekend is quite different than it is during the week. The staff is much fewer in numbers, volunteers are not there, and often visitors are harder to come by.
Our 'Lovely Day Delivery' program is here to help. We bring weekend relief in the form of coffee and a light breakfast treat to the patients, families, and staff of 4 North at Dell Children's Hospital here in Austin, TX. To start, we are able to make "Lovely Day Delivery" runs once per month, but we have plans to try to expand it to every weekend.

There is a lot to be said about the difficulties of an extended stay at the hospital, but Phoenix always stayed positive. Every morning when he awoke, he'd look out of his window at Dell, and pronounce it a "lovely day."
